I donāt think you were referring to my earlier comment, but just in case I want to make it very clear that Iām not opposed to fighting in self-defense (quite the contrary), my comment had been in a response to a comment made in the heat of the moment that went well beyond that.

My approach to pacifists is, if youāre not going to help, then get out of the way. I think pacifists can be courageous (Ghandi, for example), but they have no moral right to tell anyone else to roll over.

It just frustrates me so much when these white supremacists are marching around screaming about how they want to annihilate other races, and thereās this contingent of morons who are like āI hate the nazis, but they have a point to make.ā
No, they donāt have a point to make, their speech is invalid, and when they kill people, thatās not accidental, thatās just a warm up. Free speech isnāt any more sacred than the right to bear arms, or the right to not have troops quartered in your house. But somehow, these people think that while warrantless wiretapping is fine, and no-knock raids arenāt a problem, while counterprotesting actual nazis is wrong.
