Yep. Candidates from both parties always make stops in California; not because they think it will make any difference how the state votes in the Presidential election but because they want to raise cash they can spend campaigning elsewhere (or in Trump’s case, cash he can embezzle for his own ends).
Other states host political rallies. New York and California host fundraisers.
Whoever wrote that for Trump seems to be channeling Tennyson.
Tho’ much is taken, much abides; and tho’
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
These shits completely distort what Jesus said… Jesus needs to come back and give them (all of us, really) the whatfor…

From the Guardian on this…
It was no coincidence that the event was held on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, or that many attendees carried shofars and Israeli flags: evangelicals and charismatic Christians find spiritual meaning in Old Testament scripture, Jewish rituals and support for Israel – where they believe the end times prophecy will take place.
He worries about what will happen if Trump loses, but he said he has faith that Satan will be defeated even if Harris and the Democrats prevail.
“If that happens, it’s not going to be a political solution,” Heilman said. “God will provide other opportunities to take the country back that will be more surreptitious, or underground.”
Cool. That works for me. So STFU about our country and go fight him in the night batman, or are your divine powers so weak you can’t even work a single miracle!? Too busy trying to take over the profits of a nation to heal some sick people or raise some dead I guess? Priorities, right…
yup. occasionally, someone will mention “forced deportation might be bad for the economy.”
i don’t think ive heard a single interview with experts on what forced deportation would look like, the violence it would entail, or the families it would affect.
no interviews with historians putting it in context.
no interviews with experts about its legality.
no interviews with military officials to determine if they’re ready to go door to door forcing people at gun point from their homes.
no interviews with people who will become targets.
however, i did hear this morning that mass deportation is good for ■■■■■ because a poll said people trust the gop on immigration more. and the next sentence was about how harris wasn’t doing enough to distinguish her plans from biden’s
It’s really something to be three weeks away from what could very much be one of the most intense inflection points in my life — a moment which will decide whether i have any rights at all come the end of January — and be expected to function like a normal person.
I’ve been awake at 4am more this past month than any point in the past 3 years. Vacillating between huge bursts of energy where i can’t sit still to save my life to days where i have to put my head down on my desk after every meeting. I feel like a sweater being slowly unraveled by an anxious child.
