Here’s the crazy part. She did 'Not get Arrested or go to jail.
Southwest. The “Let’s go, Brandon!” airline. No wonder she didn’t get arrested. I used to like Southwest, so it’s a pity I won’t be using them until they straighten up and fly right.

Two Corinthians walk into a bar…
Why did my mind go to this image when I saw her picture?
I’ll give you 3 guesses, and the first two don’t count.
s/defiant woman/overgrown five years old/
Aw, don’t do that the the University of Maryland logo. We actually have a good med school, though it definitely takes second seat the the local giants, Hopkins.
That pretty much describes the religious right.
I had a political candidate knock on my door. I reviewed his position statements and after commending him for visiting a real middle class neighborhood I told him that a better description of Conservative Christian is “Asshole who goes to church”
This. Because of the Dr. Dao incident we now empty the plane rather than just drag off the troublemaker.
“I mean, does traveler’s insurance cover this kind of thing? I might have to look into that…”
It does not. From a recent read it covers… almost nothing likely to happen after you’ve gotten to an airport.
(Anyone who knows more, please feel to correct me.)
Thanks!
You’re not going to see anything like this. BB posts every such incident, but there are 25,000 flights a day in the US, and these incidents happen on maybe one flight every couple of months. I fly a lot these days and have never seen anything even close to this. The worst I’ve seen is, ironically, the flight crew on two Southwest flights who were all dicknosing and not wearing masks when in the galley or cockpit areas. One flight attendant was wearing a bandana you could see through. They proudly stated they were from Phoenix on the PA and I heard them discussing Trump amongst themselves, so there you go.
WTAF? Is there some reason she could not just be arrested, instead of everyone else being punished for this selfish asshole?
The other passengers should file a civil suit against her. I’d gladly drop $50 or so to make her life hell. I wouldn’t even be particularly concerned about compensation.
Another thing struck me as well. How did she get on the plane? Did she actually wear a mask just so she could board and then pull this stunt?
Yeah. If this happened in the EU, the court aftermath would be a huge fine, on top of her being ordered to compensate the airline for the cost of getting all the other passengers to their final destinations. In full.
Assholes like this woman are why Americans can’t have nice things. They reject science, embrace gossip-rumor-superstition, promote hostility toward anyone who isn’t white, male, hetero, or Christian; and aggressively resist rational thought and behavior.
I’m over these bastards. They are a huge reason COVID-19 has killed almost 1 million people. Airlines must enforce regulations equally and she should have been arrested, fined, and banned for life from flying on ANY airline.
#TaxTheChurches - this bullshit will stop
#TaxTheRich - they are freeloaders!
#NeverVoteRepublican - all you get are entitled bigots like this asshole
Her soul is wearing it… and it’s stamped all over her ignorant face.
They will ignore that instruction, just like they ignore to one to love everyone…
#TaxTheChurches - this bullshit needs to end, they are assaulting our civil democracy
#NeverVoteRepublican
There is no greater self-entitled smugness than that of an alleged adult doing something dangerously wrong while thinking they know better than someone they consider their inferior.
It’s the woman’s evident pleasure, and that of Trumpanzees like her, that makes me wonder if calling hate crimes “hate crimes” and attributing them to a “sense of grievance” doesn’t quite hit the bullseye. Not that they’re not hate crimes. But MAGA people who act out / belittle others / etc. seem to be happy. Really, really happy. In the sense of joyfully, in-a-juvenile-manner, sadistic.
Even “the cruelty is the point” doesn’t quite capture it. “The cruelty is the fun,” maybe.
