Halloween 2021!

The annual “Halloween Jazz Spooktacular” is on right now until 10 PM ET (US). They already played Screamin’ Jay but I haven’t yet heard “Blues for Dracula” (which I first heard on this show). At the moment it’s the Ray Noble song from The Shining. After tonight, the whole thing should be online for a couple weeks, so you can play it for the trick-or-treaters…

Candy corn wurst? Not scary at all? Okay, we’ll try horrifying then. It’s certainly horrifying.

On a better note Samhain na mBan (women’s Halloween) at a local cinema.

Critically reappraised I would say. Got poor reviews and didn’t do well because…well you know why it would happen right? But it’s definitely in rotation in culture now and described as misunderstood on release and things like that.

It’s doesn’t make up for what was done on its release but I’m glad it is recognised now.

An aurora may light up the dark skies over the US Northeast, upper Midwest, and could even stretch as far as the state of Washington, potentially giving skywatchers a rare treat this Halloween weekend.

The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a strong warning of an incoming geomagnetic storm on Friday.
