Make Mexico Great Again Also

LOL You mean like this:

Now that’s (Amish porn) just meant for TV!!! Perhaps Amish actors and actresses can make Mexico great again (also).

Someday future archaeologists are are going to come to the conclusion that Western civilization was ultimately brought down by advanced stupidity brought about by the lack of quality education combined with idiotic television programming.

That may be the first time I’ve ever seen Shakespeare enhanced with a gif. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, I just thought it was worth remarking on.

Much Ado is probably my favorite Shakespearean work, and I’ve been quoting from it for years; but when I first started doing so online, I had to make my own memes for it.

One of my faves as well, and the 1993 Branagh film is in my top 10 list.

Plausible. This kind of idiotic TV is closely linked to the Trump phenomenon. Both prove that you can make all kinds of outrageous shit up out of whole cloth and people will not only enjoy it, but believe it’s true.

I adore that version.

I assume you’ve seen the Joss Whedon version?

My sister (who is much more of a theatre nerd than I am) absolutely adores the way Reed Diamond effortlessly speaks his lines in that version.

I have not.

I didn’t like it as much, although it is well-regarded.

IIRC it was filmed over a couple of weeks at Whedon’s house, starring his friends.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed that.

Gad. What the hell are they smoking/snorting/injecting? I recall the George Carlin line: “Nail two things together that have never been nailed together before, and some schmuck will buy it.”

I thought returning Texas to Mexico was the plan for making America Great Again.

Amen. I even thought Keanu Reeves was good in it.

You should. Very good. Filmed on the side while Whedon and some of the others were working on something else (i think cabin in the woods).

Was David Tennant in it, by any chance?

I don’t remember him. It was mostly Joss’ usual crew, people who’ve been in many of his things. For example Nathan Fillion was Dogberry. (I actually preferred Michael Keaton’s perfomance in the aforementioned Branagh version.)

I’ll have to check it out; thanks.
