First you’d have to figure out how many guns there actually are…
Then you’d have to actually study shootings…

Oh boy, more thoughts and prayers
Honoring them? Like they died with honor? Are they war heroes?
They’re kids who got shot going to school. There’s no fucking honor involved.
Sacrifices to Moloch indeed.
Well that really thought through message is going to fall on deaf ears unfortunately on at least one side of the aisle
I’ll be tuning in. I mean, who knows? The Prez is unpredictable at times, and if he gets it into his head that he’s going to be a one term president, then maybe he’ll flip the script on the right wing narrative and call for gun control?
Antifa doing mass shootings. As the US has not gone down the Swedish Antifa route (thankfully, and they prefer bombs anyway) it isn’t plausible.
Now a false flag Antifa mass shooting on the other hand…
If only the founders had put something in the Second Amendment about keeping things well-regulated.
The Framers weren’t talking about that type of “regulation,” but the NRA isn’t big on mandatory training by a drill sergeant and membership in the National Guard as a precondition of owning a firearm, either. Either type of regulation would impact the sales of the industry the NRA exists to lobby for.
I have called all of my reps, but I don’t have the $$ that the NRA tosses around. Here’s a small sample of what they’ve paid to some reps over 2 years, not including the 21$ they gave to dRumpf.
I tend to agree with Larry Lessig, Citizens United was a big mistake.
Of course back then you also NEEDED a whole militia if you wanted to engage in mass slaughter. Now a single disturbed teenager can easily discharge more lethal rounds into a crowd of civilians than an entire colonial battalion could.
He’s dead. Now’s your chance.
No need for that. Riddle me this: how do you get Republicans (including St. Ronnie himself) to put gun control regulations in place?
That’s actually an excellent idea. We can start by finding out what gun owners who shoot school children have in common, and what they do not have in common with gun owners who do not shoot school children.
The actual response is going to be,‘something, something, ANYTHING BUT GUNS!’
All my representatives and senators are Democrats. No new gun laws are going to get anywhere in US Congress until or unless Americans have finally had enough of Republicans and vote them out of the House.
I’m not holding my breath.
Mad props to the survivors and witnesses of this shooting who are going to the media to spread the message that they want something done about this country’s idiotically lax gun laws. It takes a lot of strength of character and hell of a lot of composure for these kids to speak out right now. In a better country, they’d not be grieving today.
I certainly don’t condone John Hinkley Jr.'s methods but I have to admit the Brady Bill was one of the few times in modern history when more than a third of Senate Republicans were convinced to enact new restrictions for gun purchases.
Two points:
Well with a name like “Cruz”, are we even sure he’s legal? Chain migration and DACA are the real problems! /s
Yup. If past history is anything to go by, they can expect death threats online and character assassination on Fox & Friends any time now.
