Neo-Nazis Attack Boing Boing Publisher

I’m not good with image only replies. I dont understand what you are replying to or what you mean with that. Can you use actual words?

That one is more directed at the audience of Mr White.

Yes, I’m aware of the nature of the actors on the show and why a number of them agreed to play Nazis even though they were German Jews. Mockery of Nazis is always a good thing, especially since they hate it.

Am I a terrible for finding the Skokie vs Nazi party case to be one of the most america moments ever?

Jewish lawyer defending literal Nazi’s right to free speech.

After all the best way to show an idiot is to hand them a mic and give them ten minutes.

maybe I’m just as much of a garbage person as Spencer, who knows.

The Pedant Nazi says… “No like for that bullshit.”

“Stop shitting on your talent!” is something I told a person once. She does a great June Carter Cash cover and … has a bit of imposter syndrome.

Stop it.

You’re not a garbage person. You judge people by their choices and actions. Not by who they are, like skin color and ethnicity.

Death threats, graffiti, nights of broken glass aren’t protected speech.

Good for the guy proving he’s on higher moral ground than a nazi.

If, instead of defending the nazi guy in court, he instead spent his time cutting nazis into small pieces and using them for chum, he’d still have the moral high ground. IMNSHO.

Maybe. These people would use free speech to cry an ideology that denies it, but that’s the best part of America. They get that opportunity to speak. Of course as off pointed out first amendment does not protect them from the consequences of such speech…

To stamp something out and go ‘no this is something that should be never spoken of’ drives it underground or forces these people to get creative in hiding. I would rather skinheads and Nazi to be out in the open about what they are, much as I would rather a bottle of poison be glaringly obvious on what it is.

That’s a good point. But they’re not going to do that, because of people like me.

I’d sooner punch a few public nazis than eat three meals a day, or have access to YouTube.

See also ‘first amendment does not protect from consequence of what is said.’

Make sure you wear gloves, don’t want broke knuckles.

Gauntlets. Those protect the hand, fingers and wrist due to punching evil.

Also their name sounds cool.

These people choose to make black people, jews, and half-decent white people fear for their lives.

I’m willing to turn the tables and make nazis afraid for their own security. How else would they learn?

i have a high-school era friend i’m still friends with on facebook. libertarian, gold standard, bit-coin enthusiast, sovereign citizen survivalist ( who’s married, with children, works as a sys-admin, and attends church regularly. ) he hates 45 and the current executive overreach.

i don’t understand my friend, but at least he’s consistent. ( unfortunately, i suspect he’s the exception to the rule. )

A truly distinguished family. Victor Klemperer’s diary documenting the rise of the Nazis, published as “I Shall Bear Witness”, is one of the best eyewitness accounts of how fascism creeps into polite quotidian society. He documents the many ways the Nazis got various types of mainstream conservatives to downplay and normalise the new regime by appealing to their bogus sense of a clash of civilisations, their “except-for-the-good-ones” bigotry, and their xenophobia.*
