Not first rodeo for gun-toting St. Louis couple

Probably depends on whether it was “the right” kind of Christian church or not. (“Klan approved,” i.e., not Catholic, and the “proper” kind of Protestant church, i.e., not one of the ones filled with Black people singing and being joyful. Only a Protestant church in which everyone’s white, scratching at their wool trousers, and mumbling all of the hymns at “dirge” tempo.)

By “They” do you mean the gay couple or the republicans?
Republicans know that if you want maximum resell for home investment…you follow the gay.

I read an AP backgrounder on these two fine people, and was amused by the spin their equally-fine lawyer put on their visit from the police:

“Joel Schwartz, the couple’s lawyer, said a search warrant was served Friday evening and that the gun Mark McCloskey was holding in the video was seized. Schwartz told The Associated Press that arrangements have been made to turn over to authorities on Saturday the gun that Patricia McCloskey had been holding, adding that her gun was inoperable at the time of the protest and still is.”

Just pretend guns, folks, so it’s all fine.

In my home town developers have turned old non-residential space in “Gay Village” in to “luxury apartments”; and now they are trying to get all the gay bars shut down because they cause noise at night.

“What do you call 150 lawyers at the bottom of the sea?”

“A tragic waste of human potential.”

“What do you call 150 lawyers drawing breath?”

“A tragic waste of human potential.”

One of my uncles once said that everyone he’d ever met had been horrible. I, on the other hand, meet excellent people all the time; people who return my greetings or offer thanks for small kindnesses. I guess I’m just lucky

Assholes. Assholes all the way down.

These are the type of litigious asswipes that give lawsuits such an unsavory reputation. They have so much money they can casually sue anyone at anytime for any reason, and will literally go out of their way to be destructive and dare people to sue them, knowing full well they can afford to lose, or win by outspending you. And yet whenever we hear about tort reform, we only ever hear about the distorted facts of the McDonald’s coffee case (not the actual truth of course, where the plaintiff got third degree burns from the 180 degree coffee and needed skin grafts, but the bullshit “she just mad she spilled her coffee, bro!” lies).

These are rotten, sad, sick people. They believe in might makes right, money makes truth, and property should belong only to them. These people are exactly why I’m progressive and a democratic socialist. A pox on their mansions.

And to think I didn’t think these trash-people could piss me off any further!

Anyone who would deliberately and maliciously destroy FUCKING BEE HIVES is a FUCKING MONSTER, even if the hives were on their own property, WHICH THEY WERE NOT!

These sad excuses for human beings are the racist, capitalist, PATHETIC IDIOT elite of this country writ comically large and obvious, from the psychosexual “fine art” on their walls to the fucking piss-stains on their khakis. I can’t even BLARGH

ETA I had to delete ⅔ of this drunken RAGE POST to meet community standards

Can’t say is it’s actually scientifical, but I’ve read that a key difference between conservatives and progressives is fear: cons essentially think we’re all born bad and only medieval myths can keep us all from pillaging and sexual assault.

Recently I started thinking MORE people should go to law school. Imagine you’re a black male, and the cops pull you over, you hand them your ID and a business card drops out saying you work for the ACLU. . . . “uh oh.”

Man, if you think that is raising my blood pressure nowadays, you got me wrong
Just glad I stocked up on my BP meds so I have a 3 month supply if things really go south.

Because a lot of people will buy an house without looking what is in the neighbourhood. Case in point here there’s an old airport that had the airstrip made during WWI, now used for gliders and small airplanes, and was in the suburbs with few other constructions. In the 60s houses were built nearby and new houses were made until the '80. People in the '80 bought these houses and then started to complain that airplanes were landing and taking off all the day. (ok, building condos in line with an airstrips wasn’t a bright idea to begin with…)

Sounds about right, just going by the increasingly toxic political atmosphere of the last 40 years…
