People who think they can give up entire states and not suffer any consequences because they are “safe” in a blue state are in for a big surprise if that’s what ends up happening. they want the whole country, not just “the south” or “real America”… They start with trans rights, women’s rights, and other “identity” politics that far too many straight white dudes don’t care about because it’s not them, but they’re not going to stop there.

While I have very mixed feelings about concealed carry, I’m honestly not the least bit surprised with the number of trans people I know who have their CC license. Of course I can’t think of any that salivate at the possibility of having to use it, being far more of the bringing it up with a lot of reluctance and hesitation. I’d like to hope that none of them would ever actually need it, but then we see stuff like that. I’d be concerned that it would only make a bad situation worse, but I’m not sure it would.

Its been said before, by you repeatedly, and others, there are no blue or red states, only urban and rural areas. Giving up on any state condemns a huge number of our own people to hellish existence, and the idea that the fascists would be satisfied with whatever is given is ludicrous. They will come for it all, using “protecting our people” as their rallying cry.
