I am SOOOOO ready for the word breeders to never be used to refer to human beings ever fucking again. I don’t like it when “anti-family” shitheads use it, I don’t like it when “traditional family” shitheads use it. I don’t like it in reference to people. Shitty, shitty language to boils us down to basic reproduction, when humans can be so much more.
“Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” And people basically did that, right? So the commandment is fulfilled, you can all stop now and start making family planning decisions based on anything else.
In theory, the first amendment SHOULD cover that, but lately SCOTUS likes to ignore the establishment clause in favor of letting religious bigots hurt others, since they’ve decided that that is what “religious freedom” should mean - the freedom to impose it on others…
On top of my general seething rage about the whole situation, I find myself extremely offended that they somehow are allowed to hold an event like this at one of the national museums. I have many happy memories of the building museum from my time down there. Fuck Pence and his lackeys for sullying the place.
And I can guarantee you there’s nobody more angry at that than the museum employees. They don’t tend to be a conservative lot (which is ironic, I suppose)
