Trump just fired FBI director James Comey

Drain it like a Washington swamp…oh wait he hasn’t drained that swamp just yet…oh well

It’ll be interesting to watch to see if he picks up any private-sector bennies like status board of director positions. I doubt Trump would care, but someone might see the value in keeping him happy and close, rather than grumpy, retired and writing his memoirs.

I dunno if this is real or not…

A man full of “good” "ideas"

EDIT

Um… what?

A lot of the evidence originally came from foreign intelligence services, so there’s basically zero chance of it not finding its way to the media in the event of Congress failing to appoint a special prosecutor.

…who should give it to the US supermarket tabloids, thus guaranteeing all of the supporters of the current POTUS would be exposed to it.

Might be a good time for Hillary to book a nice over-seas vacation…

Train is leaving the station… or bullets leaving the barrel or whatever!

"Washington (CNN)Federal prosecutors have issued grand jury subpoenas to associates of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn seeking business records, as part of the ongoing probe of Russian meddling in last year’s election, according to people familiar with the matter. CNN learned of the subpoenas hours before President Donald Trump fired FBI director James Comey.

The subpoenas represent the first sign of a significant escalation of activity in the FBI’s broader investigation begun last July into possible ties between Trump campaign associates and Russia." -CNN

Taxes are business records no?

If there is someone who would crush the US DOJ in court it would be HRC, but there is no one left that would stick their neck out for Trump on that one. I imagine his goal would be 8 more years of “but her emails.”

What the flying fuck is she talking about?

True enough. A one-pronged approach will not suffice. I live in Alabama, and like @cameronh1403 and @anon36081309, I still vote every time against them. I even called both senators (one newly appointed, due to Jefferson Beauregard Sessions’ departure, Luther Johnson Strange III, who, at 6"9’, bears an eerie resemblance to another infamous AL politician, “Big” Jim Folsom – what is wrong with us and how we name our children?) and my representative, but I’m also involved in a local activist group.

So, to quote Offred, “Nolite te Bastardes Carborundorum, Bitches.”

Sudden but not suprising.
The orange bastard is in full panic mode, lashing out against friends and foes, desperately trying to get out of the nose that is closing around his neck. Lets hope he will make a fatal mistake in his panic that will finish him off.
He will die in jail.

Yea, you’re probably right. I just got worried for a sec that a real indictment would happen to HRC with Comey out of the way, forgetting that the FBI probably has nothing, else it would have happened already.

Comey’s correction of earlier remarks about Clinton’s aide forwarding email quietly exonerated Clinton. Within hours, AG Sessions and DAG Rosenstein pressed for Comey’s dismissal, a desperate and belated act since no DFBI replacement was under consideration.

With Clinton cleared, the spotlight rests on Trump’s Russian connection.
