At least he didn’t wear a tan suit…
I’m also enjoying the scare quotes around ‘medical doctors’ in that piece of performance art.
With that last suggestion, Trump and his clique have attained the most dangerous level of state-sponsored errorism.
or eat the wrong mustard
There are really long flexibits but you’re restricted to a maximum of about 1/2" diameter core and there wouldn’t be a section to reinsert. We could use it as a trephine to bore several holes instead and tape over the openings instead!
I don’t find the overall shape of the thing he said to be problematic. This stuff kills the bad stuff, can we put this in our bodies to help us? The answer, of course is no, that would kill you. But the fucking arrogance! “Oh yeah prez, we medical doctors never thought of that, we can just inject the stuff that kills the virus. All this time developing complicated drugs and we could have just been injecting lysol.”
I really hope that ‘there is no such thing as bad publicity’ does not apply here.
ETA:
That we even need a dementi (i.e., denial) is showing how demented this timeline is.
We’re just trying to cure COVID-19, not ALL the diseases.
In broad general principle I sort of agree with you, but no. That shit is just utterly disqualifying. Such a baffling lack of basic knowledge was horrifying three years ago, but now, after all the conversations he’s had with medical experts over the last few months, to still be that confused about such incredibly fundamental questions… just no.
The instinct to say you are making that up is still there. It has not been bludgeoned into submission yet. However recent experience suggests that it probably happened. I am not sure how their brains don’t start spontaneously exploding.
Yeah it is pretty amazing that he did not know people should not drink disinfectant. Stunning is maybe a better word for it. I sort of took that as said. The arrogance thing is just gets my goat, in particular.
I kind of had the same reaction. If this results in a significant number of deaths due to the self-poisoning of dumb Trumpians, it is Darwinism in action. It may lead to a (statistically miniscule, but…) slight increase in the overall average intelligence of the human race. And possibly better results in November elections.
Oh and the uv light thing, two words: Internal sunburn
I think I just figured it out. Donald Trump is the Hillside Strangler.
You’d need nothing less than a tunnel boring machine for any hope at all.
Preferably placed directly in front of him, with him strapped to the mountain.
I had to stop watching Giuliani because each time I kept thinking that that was imminent. His wild look while bloviating kept me riveted for a while, waiting for his head to explode. Like watching a train wreck. Eventually I gave up, my anticipation was never rewarded.
I was saving it for November but needs must as the devil may.
Actually, in a way the light thing bothered me a little less than the suggestion to inject, ingest, or inhale disinfectants. We use radiation to target cancers, it is not entirely inconceivable to me that a particular bandwidth might kill the virus more quickly than it would kill the patient, which is pretty much how it is used to treat cancer. Still makes patients really, really sick from the treatment but hopefully kills the cancer. And some cancers that haven’t metastasized can be targeted pretty precisely with things like proton beam therapy, causing much less in the way of systemic effects. And light is just a form of radiation, right?
Of course, it is highly unlikely that Donnie understands any of this.
Thank you. My mother underwent radiation therapy last year in an attempt to shrink a left-lung tumor that was causing nerve pain, and because she had a pacemaker, angles of attack were constrained, so she ended up with, on top of everything else, sunburn in her throat. She was a redhead so it was extra painful — that sensitive skin thing is all over, inside and out.
