Trump suggests ingesting disinfectant to cure coronavirus (Don't, it'll kill you)

I cannot read 160 comments right now but whoever that woman was who looked away in shock as he bloviated, what she should have done was resign on the spot by standing up, in the middle of this idiocy, saying “this is utter bullshit, utter madness, you are dumb as fuck and nobody should ever listen to you. People are going to die if they do and I’m not going to be part of it” and walked out. That’s what a sane timeline would allow. Of course, if we were in a sane timeline …

That she sat there and did not intervene will hopefully be to her personal shame for the rest of her life (and nothing anyone says about her maybe not being in position to risk unemployment, or keeping her counsel to stay inside to try to ameliorate the madness, will not cut any ice with me).

We’re in a timeline where Dettol maker has to beg folks not to inject cleaning fluid into their veins. Thanks, Trump

The person he is addressing offscreen is Dr Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator. Below she listens to The Donald’s screed, and if you watch carefully, you can pinpoint the exact moment that the hope inside her is snuffed out.

As per my post immediately above yours, I beg to differ. It was the exact moment she abandoned any remaining scintilla of humanity and lost any right to ever be taken seriously again. “You sat there and let him get away with saying WHAT? And did nothing to stop him?”

I can’t rule out that she’s doing that to keep her job, because she’s trying to mitigate the damage, and she can’t do that if she quits.

I’ll address this one, since it’s my area of expertise. If anything, the UV light idea is worse than bleach. Ingesting or injecting bleach will kill you quickly. Using a disinfection-level dose of UV-C light inside the body can cause cancer and severe mutations. Even on the skin, it can cause sunburns that can lead to skin cancer. It can cause blindness if exposed to the eyes. In other words, his suggestion will still probably kill you, just slowly and painfully instead of quickly and painfully. Here is the warning label that has to be used with high-intensity deep UV light:

WARNING: RISK GROUP 3 EMITTED FROM THIS PRODUCT. Avoid eye and skin exposure to unshielded product.

Here is the press release from the International Ultraviolet Association. Note the similarity to press releases from bleach manufacturers.

He’s a black swan is what he is, but the kind that makes a bunch of little baby black swans in its wake.

Thank god I’m a New Ager and have been expecting the End Times for ages (we have to tear everything apart and realize the stupidity of our ways before we can remake society in a more sane light, or something like that…)

Stupid, angry, selfish, paranoid, vindictive, and perfectly willing to flush everything down the toilet rather than admit defeat.

Change is hard

Yeah, but anyone dumb enough to follow Trump’s medical advice is much more likely to have access to a bottle of bleach than a UV light powerful enough to mutate their internal organs.

Let’s substitute 2 lumps of Kentucky coal instead - just in case. Can’t risk the libtard!

Ref your reply to that - I retract that comment - I was clearly too late. it back. She had obviously already lost all humanity and any right to be taken seriously if she could say that, with a straight face, about the Orange Mussolini.
