Republicans have been the anti-science party for a long time. They’ve also claimed to be the party of “personal responsibility” – COVID is where those two aspects meet in a deadly way.
You can fool some of the people, some of the time, but you can’t fool Mother Nature; COVID doesn’t care if you stand on a balcony and project an aura of strength.

There’s been a resurgence of favorable opinion of ww2 era dictators in Europe, oddly enough, same as here in the US.
I guess it is becoming so normal for these people to be fascists in everyday conversation that they tweet it not realizing to most humans the association is actually a negative.
