Unhinged Trump coronavirus briefing: 'There will be death,' says 1,000 military personnel going to NY

PHB was never a bad person, just really ignorant.

Time to revisit the Existentialists methinks. Sartre and Camus, experiencing the Nazi occupation as they did may have particular insight for our times. I haven’t read ‘The Plague’ since college…

I’m going to ask for some form of citation on that data. To the best of my knowledge, there is still nothing aside from a few preliminary, mostly anecdotal reports and one unreviewed preprint of a tiny study. Please avoid stating things as fact that are as yet utterly unfounded.

You do know that PHB is brother to the literal Prince of Insufficient Fucking Light, don’t you?

And their mother regarded PHB as the golden boy.

I’m not going to link to the comic from here because Scott Adams is dead to me, but only Dogbert is more reliably evil than PHB.

Dollars to donuts that the dude is already on hydroxychloroquine desperately hoping it does something more than just diarrhea and nausea.

I read the post and the first tweet and then crank the hell out of my mouses scroll wheel to get past what is typically a bunch of replies to a single original tweet that gets included with every reply.

On occasion I have seen a carefully curated list of tweets from a single person that gave some type of blow by blow real time commentary. But a slop of tweets from a bunch of people is like listening to a crowd talk over each other.

There is no reliable evidence that HCQ works at all.
There no evidence at all that HCQ works as a prophylactic, because it has never been trialled for that.

You should get a Logitech MX Master. Among other things, it has an electromechanical clutch that can be set to release when you give the scroll wheel a hard flick, and then it just spins freely while coasting through ten feet of document in a blur.

It’s a highly satisfying way to ignore text in bulk, and it says a lot that they felt the need to make a whole project out of designing, engineering and selling such a thing.

That was on my list for consideration last Dec. I ended up getting the Razer Deathadder Elite. Both are great mice.

I stopped following Dilbert after I tried reading The Dilbert Future in the nineties, and unfortunately he’s managed to make that look like a smart decision.

Scott Adams was apparently always a Randist world-class flake, we just didn’t know it. It was pretty obvious what direction he was going to take in 2016, given the sexism, quasi-holocaust denialism, climate denialism, etc. he has proudly displayed since the 2010’s.

How about opening Trump Tower for all the overflow? It’s practically empty anyway, right? Oligarchs and whatnot.

I got a trackman marble years ago and have never been able to go back to a regular mouse. This “move your whole hand around rather than just your thumb” thing seems just weird to me now.

Basically because we’re not one country. We’re a dozen different regional cultures fighting each other for dominance. A couple of those cultures are generally sane. A couple others genuinely believe that Donald Trump is a great president and Obama was the greatest evil our country ever faced. They’ve also been rigging things to give themselves an advantage for a long time.

Honestly, everything about American politics makes sense after reading this:

If you are trying to sugguest I am either crazy or violent, don’t bother.

I am a man of peace. Of reason.

I fight the bastard with history, voting, and telling the truth to those who come after me.

Not violence.

That really is key here, whenever anyone tries to claim the dems are exactly as bad as the GOP make them show public sources for a democratic version of REDMAP.

The Republicans rely on breaking democracy to stay in power at the national scale. If they were forced into fair elections where every voter had a chance to vote without it being any harder than getting gas or buying bread, the GOP would be fucking screwed.

And that’s a problem. I think the time has come to totally ignore Trump. What if he gave a (rally disguised as a )“Press Conference” and nobody came? I mean literally nobody. Take the air that he breathes and let him suffocate (figuratively). And at the same time Biden and Fauci could set up a ‘shadow’ Corona Task Force and start giving advice that doesn’t make people ill and doesn’t get them killed. And doesn’t blame the victims and the hospital staff. And doesn’t rely on ‘graciousness’ as a currency to get needed medical supplies.
