Well, hate to say it, but this probably falls in line with the usual conservative projection. They know what they’re thinking/wishing for themselves, and can’t help but to think that their opponents are equivalent assholes (or worse). Otherwise they’d have to consider the possibility that they’re the less reasonable and mature ones.

Probably someone on their own side has an accidental discharge and the rest panic and start firing.
I had family in the IRS.
In the 90s my dad told me if he ever gives a code word, to barricade myself and my mom and call 911 while he gets his gun because it means someone threatening is outside.
(Not because he was macho but because a LOT can happen even with a response time in minutes and he rightly realized an unlocked gun was not a good idea)
Imagine having to have that kind of “talk” when you haven’t even hit puberty.
These psychos are not new they’re just emboldened.

It’s kind of crazy that a family that got rich running a multi-level marketing scheme is partially responsible for this. I guess anyone starting such an endeavor doesn’t seem to have much respect for their fellow human creatures in the first place. I hated Amway long before I was even aware of what the politics of the Devos family were. What an awful bunch, Blackwater in-laws and all.

Oh, no, they have metal detectors in the state capitols, too. To stop people from bringing in pocket knives, protest signs, etc. If you have a visible gun, you get waved past it.

They distinguished “good” and “bad” according to whether the government form would act in the interest of the whole community (“good”) or in the exclusive interests of a group or individual at the expense of justice (“bad”).
Tyranny, Oligarchy, Ochlocracy. The American Right are trying to be all three.

Make no mistake - those guns are meant to intimidate MIchigan elected officials. As such, this is an act of domestic terrorism pushed by Trump the Unfit.
